The three components
Named, because they get quietly dropped
Everything here is measured against these three. When a format, a question, or a venture is in doubt, this is the page it answers to.
Prayer
The table opens with a prayer every week, without exception. It rotates, and it belongs to whoever is offering it — Catholic grace, a Muslim guest's dua, a silent breath, a child's memorized line. Nobody translates it, nobody corrects it, nobody is asked to convert, and nobody is asked to hide.
Understanding
The goal of a hard question is comprehension, never a verdict. You have not understood someone until you can say their position back in a way they would sign. Understanding is not agreement and it is not approval — which is exactly why it can be offered to everyone in the room.
Conviction, then release
Solidity in conviction: the lines hold when a sponsor pushes and when a rule would be profitable to bend. Detachment in the action: the work is done fully and then let go of. Care completely, need nothing back.
The founder's reason, in his own words: "I didn't leave what I love. I left what I hated, to create what I loved elsewhere." This is a building project, not a leaving project — every part of it is measured against what is being made, never against what was fled.
The scorecard
Nine aspects of a life
A community that serves six of these is a good club. One that serves nine is a life. We are measured by lives moved, not by metrics counted.
Spirit
The prayer at the table, and one quiet hour a week where nothing is expected of you.
Understanding
Sit-downs where each person's only job is to be able to repeat the other back correctly.
Belonging
A fixed night you are expected. Repetition, not invitations, is what makes a community.
Family
The family table, the elders, the fathers who are far from their children.
Work and money
The nursing academy, the kitchen classes, real work at real rates.
Body
Healthy versions of the food people already love, from someone who does this for a living.
Love
Second chances, honestly arranged. We sell rooms — tickets, seats, memberships — never people.
Care given outward
The strays nobody wants, and the volunteer days. A member gives, not just receives.
The end
The conversation nobody schedules. Ask him before he's dead.
Where to walk in
Three rooms, one network
The table
A fixed night every week. Everybody brings a dish — a sixty-peso pancit counts the same as imported steak. Families and kids welcome. No tickets, no cameras, no pitches.
Take a seatThe academy
NCLEX, English, and French preparation for nurses heading to Canada and the United States. We train you. Deployment happens only through licensed partners, and the employer pays.
Start the pathwayThe shows
We ask the things people only answer at dinner, and we give the microphone to the people who actually know the answers. Consented, compensated, and yours to withdraw from.
Apply for a seatHow we seat the table. People join for what they have lived and what it taught them — as fathers, widows, workers, believers, arrivals. We do not sort or rank anyone by their romantic or sexual history, and we never will. Faith is welcomed into the room; it is never the door. Every guest consents, is paid a standard appearance fee, sees the cut before it airs, and can be blurred on request. Respect is the price of a seat, because we expect it for ourselves.
